Comic Book Ink Is Having A Special Benefit For Hero the week after Free Comic Book Day with a Signing and Q&A
Tacoma, Washington's COMIC BOOK INK,
continues its CELEBRATION of ALL THINGS COMICS and X-MEN
with a SPECIAL SIGNING to BENEFIT the HERO INTIATIVE
Starting at 2:00pm on SATURDAY, MAY 9th,
2009, Comic Book Ink will host a QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION
followed by a SIGNING with DANIEL WAY ( Wolverine: Origins / Deadpool), CLAYTON CRAIN ( X-Force / Deadpool Cover Artist) and
CREATORS from Local Company VALVE SOFTWARE ( Half Life /
Portal / Left 4 Dead)...all to benefit Comic Book Ink's favorite Charity
the HERO INITIATIVE ( www.heroinitative.org)
!
"We've always tried to do something special for
FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, which is on MAY 2nd this year," said
store owner, JOHN MUNN, "But when the opportunity
came for us to spend an afternoon with these X-MEN UNIVERSE
Creators AND the chance to help the HERO INITIATIVE...we
knew we couldn't pass it up!
Making this event even more special will be a LIMITED EDITION ART
PRINT BY CLAYTON CRAIN, created specifically for this event, to
BENIFIT the HERO INITIATIVE.
"Clayton's art is so unique that can tell his covers in a sea of comics...we
have been so lucky to have watched his rise to the top of his field," Munn
continued, "We are equally lucky to have a writer like Daniel Way visiting
our store. Mr. Way has been writing the "comedy and tragedy" of the X-Men
Universe." He has been mining the pathos of Wolverine's rediscovered
memories in WOLVERINE: ORIGINS, while simultaneously
writing the comically twisted adventures of the X-Universe's resident
psychotic in DEADPOOL. With these two creators at one
signing...we really get a great chance to show the depth and breadth of the
X-MEN."
Also on hand will be creators from the Pacific Northwest's premiere Computer
Gaming Company...VALVE SOFTWARE. They will be giving out
free copies of their games and giving insight into what goes into creating
them.
