When comic artist Mike Wieringo passed away, Hero had a rollickin' Irish wake in his honor! Per the family's wishes, proceeds were split 50/50 between The Hero Initiative and the ASPCA. We've dashed off a check for $2000+ to the ASPCA, so dog lovers, take note!



JOHN ROMITA TASTES GOOD!

Hero Board member John Romita had lunch with four lucky fans who won eBay auctions to break bread with the comics superstar! Special thanks to Mike Negin, Rock Loshavio, Dave Koller and Wener Graf, who won the auctions! A splendid time was had by all, and you can read about Werner's experience HERE.

WIZARD WORLD TEXAS

Wizard World Texas was great fun for Hero! Special thanks to volunteer Bob Moser and his crew, and creators such as Joe Benitez, Adam Kubert, Greg Pak, Brian Denham, Mike Choi, Tommy Castillo, Arthur Suydam, Phil Hester and MORE, who contributed their time and talents.


BIG APPLE CON

November's Big Apple Con in Manhattan was a big deal for Hero! Kudos to Steve Zegers and his volunteer crew, and Tim Sale, Dennis Calero, Bob Hall, and all the artists who pitched in!


MID-OHIO CON

Columbus was rollickin' with Craig and Sandy Wetterman enjoyng an OSU win over Michigan, and a great convention! Kudos to Joe Benitez, Groovy Gary Friedrich, and Mr. Silver Surfer himself, Doug Jones, who helped out!
