What Can I do?

Donate Now!

Money: The Hero Initiative always thankfully and graciously accepts monetary donations via cash, check or money order. You can also click the PayPal or Network For Good buttons here. Please send monetary donations to:

The Hero Initiative
11301 Olympic Blvd., #587
Los Angeles, CA 90064

Time: The Hero Initiative needs trustworthy volunteers to run booths at comic conventions; and professionals with specialized knowledge to lend support to the organization. If you can help by donating time, please write to the address above, or email Volunteer Coordinator Kevin Brogan at: kevin@heroinitiative.org

Vehicle Donation: Donate your Car, Boat, Motorcycle or RV to The Hero Initiative! Your charitable donation will make a world of difference for comic book veterans in need and at the same time provide you with a tax deduction.

Something Special: Do you own an art gallery and want to run a comic art exhibit to benefit The Hero Initiative? Maybe you manage a movie theater and can do a benefit showing of Superman: The Movie? If you can do anything of this sort, or have any other interesting ideas, please write to the address above, or email Development Director Christina Joyce at: Christina@heroinitiatve.org

Are donations to The Hero Initiative tax-deductible?

YES! We are a non-profit organization recognized in the United States of America by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization. Therefore, all monetary donations to The Hero Initiative are fully tax-deductible. If you donate a non-cash item, such as a piece of artwork or services, your donation receipt will note as such. Either way, we will supply an itemized receipt, making the donations tax-deductible.

Will you determine the value of my tax deduction?

According to IRS regulations, we cannot determine the value of your donations. According to the IRS, the amount of deduction is based on the price that a "willing buyer" will pay for your item. Our receipt will specify when your donation was made and what was donated.
