Writers and artists on amazing combo pieces benefiting two charities—starting 2/2!

As you’ve seen, some of the comic industry’s biggest art talents have paired  to produce unique original art pieces featuring great combos of two artists and two characters benefiting two charities—Hero Initiative and The Binc Foundation’s (Book Industry Charitable Foundation) Comicbook United Fund.

But how cool would it be to have some of these artists joined by top-flight writers? (Spoiler alert: VERY cool!)

Industry legend Chris Bachalo provides a beautiful Doctor Strange illustration and is joined by master scribe Neil Gaiman who hand-lettered an original incantation directly on the art board. Reuniting for the first time since the acclaimed Death: The High Cost of Living, these two have joined forces for a truly magical piece!

Not to be outdone, fan-favorite artist Phil Hester and Ande Parks have produced a battle between Green Arrow and Onomatopoeia—with a wealth of sound-effects hand-written directly on the art board by Silent Bob’s alter-ego, Kevin Smith! This piece reunites the team that brought you the character-defining Green Arrow: Quiver series.

An (updated!) gallery of artwork is available to view on Hero Initiative’s website. Follow the link here:

These pieces will be auctioned off via Hero’s eBay account five at a time, starting (appropriately enough) 2/2/21!

Keep an eye out for more announcements, and be ready to bid on some INCREDIBLE artwork and help support the comics industry!
