Carl Potts is a writer, artist, editor and creative director. For most of his 13 years at Marvel Comics, he was an Executive Editor overseeing a 1/3rd of Marvel’s publications. He discovered and mentored many top comics talents including Jim Lee, Whilce Portacio, June Brigman, Mike Mignola, Jon Bogdanov, Larry Stroman and Art Adams. Today, in addition to working on a variety of creative projects, Carl is a professor at School of Visual Arts in NYC and Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
He’s given his seminar on visual storytelling at Google NYC, Princeton Univ., Syracuse Univ., Long Island Univ., Blue Sky Studios. Psyop and Blizzard Entertainment.
